What is the Meaning of Decision?
Webster’s Dictionary defines” Decision” as,” the act or result of deciding; promptness and firmness in deciding”.
” A choice you made about something after thinking about it”. “An opinion or decision that is based on careful thought.”
” A choice that you make about something after thinking about several possibilities.”(University Press Dictionary)
“A choice made between alternative courses of action in a situation of uncertainty.”(Business dictionary)
Each new day presents choices, which by definition present us with the need for decisions. The truth is that our decisions result in outcomes, which often result in consequences. From seemingly small, moment-by-moment decisions that can set our habits in motion, to monumental decisions that determine our long-term future … each plays a critical role in sealing our destiny.
Based upon the above definition of “Decision,” do you typically think before or after you’ve made a decision? Why or why not?
